The Lady Swede golf team is back on the links and while there are some new faces, those are the seasoned golfers that Coach Tara Foster will be relying on as her team approaches the 2021 season.
“I am happy to see the dynamism of the team,” she said. “We have our experienced golfers who continue to improve their technique, and several newcomers who are eager to train.”
Foster said the team worked hard on the short game with new exercises.
“The girls really enjoyed the Phil Mickelson Drill which challenged them on the green with lagg putts and four-footed,” she said. “If we can adjust the four-foot position automatically, it will help lower our individual scores.”
As they approach the 2021 season, Foster said she was thrilled with the depth at her club.
Ellarey Harm has the most varsity experience on the team, while Jada Rubalcava and Sophie Aden will help add depth to the line-up.
“We’re excited to see what our freshmen and sophomores bring to the table,” she said. “A lot of good things have crystallized on the driving range.”
The Lady Swedes hit the links for their first action on August 23rd when they met Hershey at Wild Horse Golf Club at 2pm
