COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WPTA21) – If you’re driving US 30 from Fort Wayne in Whitley County, you’ll find a place that has been a center of family fun for decades.
Paige’s Crossing has many activities to keep people of all ages busy. The amusement center has three 18-hole mini golf courses, go-karts, rides, batting cages and a driving range. This driving range will soon be equipped with Toptracer ball tracking technology, which can also be found at Topgolf locations. Paige’s Crossing is also planning to install a full bar to complete the Toptracer Driving Range.
Those at Paige’s Crossing expect the Toptracer franchise to open next week.
The current owners of Paige’s Crossing bought the property earlier this year and are planning further improvements, such as new arcade games.
Paige’s Crossing isn’t just about summer activities. This winter, the Toptracer driving range will remain open and the event building is also available for parties and other events.
When you’re hungry in Columbia City, you might want to stop by The Square, which is in – you guessed it – the town square. The Square offers dishes such as salmon, tuna tataki, salads, steak, and a full salad bar. The restaurant also offers unique daily specials.
While the daily specials highlight The Square, the people really make the difference. Shift supervisor Holly Born says staff know about regular customers’ drinks and food and try to make customers feel like family.
The place also has a loyal following. When the restaurant only had to go for takeaway and delivery during the pandemic, people stood down the street to pick up their orders.
Both a personal touch and family roots – key ingredients that help Paige’s Crossing and The Square make life better in Whitley County.
