The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department was delighted to receive a large donation for the Scott Schreiner Golf Course. Stanley Brunsman contributed $ 20,000 towards improvements to the starting area of hole # 1 in memory of his father, KK Brunsman.

Brunsman and his father played the course every week for 15 years and the course became a very special place for each of them because they shared so many memories there. “I was very fortunate to be able to spend time with my dad golfing like we did, and I wanted to help improve the course so that others can have as much fun as we do,” said Brunsman.

According to Kerrville Parks and Rec. Director Ashlea Boyle: “With his contribution, the department was able to improve the start of the course by adding a new concrete cart lane to the driving range and converting the # 1 kart lane from granite / dirt to concrete . ”Boyle continues that other notable improvements have been made, including improved landscaping.
