The NRP Group pioneered The James on Grand Avenue, an affordable community in Williamson County, Texas, north of Austin. The 4 percent tax credit and bond development is driven by The NRP Group and its partner Capital Area Housing Finance Corp.
Located at 15701 Farm to Market 1325 Road, the community will have seven three- and four-story buildings and will serve residents who earn up to 60 percent of the median income in the area. The property with 275 residential units will have one to four-room apartments. The list of amenities is topped by a children’s center and playground. Comprehensive services include literacy training and after-school programs.
James on Grand Avenue will be located in Wells Branch, a family-friendly community 15 miles north of downtown Austin. The area offers easy transportation to the Austin area with quick access to I-35 and the MoPac Expressway. A wide range of shopping and dining options will be available to the residents. The Domain, a premier mall and lifestyle destination in the Austin area, is nearby.
The shared apartment will also be located 3 miles east of a new billion dollar Apple campus. The employment center, currently under construction, is expected to bring thousands of jobs and billions in investment dollars to the region.
The James on Grand will be located within 9.4 miles of five parks. Nearby recreational opportunities include Katherine Fleischer Park, Mills Pond Recreation Area, Round Rock Golf Driving Range and Wells Branch Disc Golf Course.
In July, the NRP Group secured two loans to finance two additional affordable housing projects in San Antonio.
