Shazam’s Zachary Levi compares “Guns” to DCEU’s Hawkman, Aldis Hodge

Shazam's Zachary Levi compares

DCEU stars Zachary Levi and Aldis Hodge compare muscle and tease a skillful competition between Shazam and Hawkman.

In a battle of superhero strength, Shazam! Zachary Levi of Fury of the Gods and Aldis Hodge of Black Adam compared muscles and golf skills.

Levi and Hodge shared a photo from their top golf competition, displaying their steel guns back to back in a superhero pose. “Hawkman and Shazam go to a bar … that happens to be a dirty driving range that does golf like bowling and I LIVE FOR IT !!!” Levi wrote.

Hodge posted the same superhero photo on his own Instagram page, writing, “An epic battle is on the horizon.” He also commented on Levi’s post seemingly to declare the victory, writing, “But who won ??? tell the truth.”

Shazam and Hawkman weren’t the only ones with some skin in the game. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joined the competition, telling his Black Adam co-star that he couldn’t lose to Shazam. “I don’t care if it’s golf, cooking, or haiku poetry – if you don’t punch Shazam in the ass – you’ll never fly the Hawk Cruiser again !!”

Hodge was cast as Hawkman in November 2020. Hawkman first appeared in Flash Comics # 1 in 1941 and was originally an archaeologist named Carter Hall – the reincarnation of the Egyptian Prince Khufu, who was murdered with his wife Chay-Ara. The two eventually reunite in the modern world to fight crime as Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars with Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Pierce Brosnan, Quintessa Swindell, Pierce Brosnan, Mo Amer, Marwan Kenzari, Bodhi Sabongui, James Cusati-Moyer, Sarah Shahi and Uli Latukefu. The film will be released in cinemas on July 29, 2022.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! Fury of the Gods plays Zachary Levi as Shazam, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Marta Milans as Mama Rosa, Helen Mirren as Hespera, Lucy Liu as Kalypso and Rachel Zegler in an unknown role. The film will be released in cinemas on June 2, 2023.
