A suicidal teenager climbed a tower on the Chelsea Piers golf driving range Sunday night – triggering a rescue operation that lasted more than five hours, police said.

Police were notified around 5:30 p.m. that a 19-year-old man at the top of the tower was supporting the 160-foot net on the fairway and threatening to jump, authorities said.
