SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) – The first Sanford International Children’s Walk brought people together on Sunday morning to support Sanford Children’s Hospital.
This morning the families ran from the children’s hospital to the golf tournament at Minnehaha Country Club. At the top was the ambassador of the Sanford Children’s Hospital 2021, Cobey DeSchepper. Event attendees were able to donate to the hospital through the Sanford Health Foundation’s Birdies Give Back program. That program began during last year’s tournament and raised nearly $ 100,000 for the children’s hospital last year.

“To see the support already was incredible,” said tournament manager Erica Krohn. “So just watch everyone come together and tell their stories that families are not alone there and everyone is here to support them.”
When the hikers arrived at the Minnehaha Country Club, they were greeted by two-time US Open champion Andy North. And he gave the kids a junior clinic on the driving range.
