The era of college athletics’ name, image, and liking began this fall, and while most of the big deals happen in the Power 5 conferences involving sports like soccer and basketball, college golfers are benefiting too.

On Friday, Utah-based Primo Golf Apparel announced a partnership with BYU senior Carson Lundell for his senior year in college golf. Lundell will use Primo to create content and also rock their gear in competition.

Primo Golf is an emerging golf apparel company focused on developing apparel for athletic players and best known for selling its golf joggers.

“I’m excited to join Team Primo and have the opportunity to wear their gear during my competition,” said Lundell. “I was extremely impressed with their sweatpants and shorts and how they bridge the gap between comfort and style. I look forward to working with them and improving my game together. “

“Partnering with Carson is a great step for us because it perfectly embodies our audience and customer base,” said Matty Gay, co-founder of Primo. “Carson’s accomplishments speak for themselves and we can’t wait to see his continued success on the golf course.”

Lundell is currently No. 90 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and was the first team of all conferences and an Honorable Mention All-American last year for the Cougars with one win, two playoff losses and five top five finishes.

“We understand that creating engaging social media content is a critical way of making us stand out,” continued Gay. “We believe our golf-obsessed audience will be interested in hearing the game from one of the best college golfers in the country.”
