Galvin Green has reinforced its “green” credentials by agreeing to become an innovation partner of the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf.

The Swedish golf apparel innovator has announced the agreement, which coincides with the GEO Foundation’s virtual event during the United Nations COP26 Summit on Climate Change in Glasgow.

With around 70% of the clothing in its latest collection made from Bluesign or Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified fabrics and suppliers, Galvin Green will join the growing sustainable golf community to drive innovation and the game’s response to Shaping the challenges of climate change around the world.

Earlier this year, Galvin Green won the prestigious global Sports Technology Award for Sustainability for its INSULA sweaters made from recycled fabric from plastic bottles. The company also prepared a report for its trading partners on its progress in manufacturing garments made entirely from Bluesign-certified fabrics or Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified to cover yarns and buttons and materials. Labels and packaging from the award-winning GameDay collection are also available in environmentally friendly formats.
