Andaz Maui’s “Ilikai Villas Are Ready”

The ‘Ilikai Villas in Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, which consist of 18 three-bedroom villas and one penthouse villa, have been completed, announced WCIT Architecture.

The first guests were welcomed in May, and the property is ready for one “Busy summer season” according to a press release last month. Villas are available as individual units or as adjoining units on each floor for larger groups and families.

“It was a unique experience designing under the challenges the pandemic posed for us – from the need to create a virtual sample room to how to deal with material and shipping delays – but ultimately we pride ourselves on what we could deliver. “ said Larry Cunha, WCIT senior vice president.

The design was inspired by ‘elepaio (native flycatcher believed to be the incarnation of the goddess Lea, after whom Wailea is named),’ uala (sweet potato grown in the midlands of the Ahupua’a by Paeahu) and the rock shapes found on Mokapu Beach , opposite the Andaz.

Each 2,000 square meter villa has a large open living room, bedroom, dining area and kitchen with sea views. The three bedroom penthouse villa is 4,400 square feet.

On the top level there is a glass bottom pool, large BBQ area, and an outdoor fire pit.
