Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) announced a partnership with famous automaker Ringbrothers and the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) for a helicopter ball drop fundraising event to support collision repair programs in high schools and colleges.
Individuals from across the country can participate by purchasing golf balls for $ 20. All funds raised from the golf ball drop will go to four collision school programs in Wisconsin as part of the CREF 2021 benchmark grant. GFS and Ringbrothers are supporting CREF in their mission to create skilled entry-level accident repair technicians and to connect them with a range of career opportunities.
Numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter at GFS headquarters in Osseo, Wisc., On October 27, 2021, with Jim and Mike Ring of Ringbrothers announcing the winning balls. Golf balls closest and farthest away from the target win prizes between $ 250 and $ 2,000, including a signed Ringbrothers jacket.
“GFS and Ringbrothers are long-term partners and we are both committed to supporting collision repair training,” said Jim Faragher, President of GFS. “Collecting funding through the Collision Repair Education Foundation at a unique event like this is something very special. It’s a great feeling to see how students use the products we produce in their programs to gain additional knowledge about this industry. “
