Golf tournament raises over $31K for MDI Hospital

The 29th annual David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament on Sept. 29 attracted more than 90 golfers.

BAR HARBOR — More than 90 golfers participated in the 29th Annual David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament at Bar Harbor’s Kebo Valley Golf Club Sept. 29. The event, sponsored by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, raised $31,525 for Mount Desert Island Hospital.

The annual tournament is a tribute to longtime member and chairman of the board of Bar Harbor Bankshares, David R. Harding, to recognize his support of charitable organizations and his legacy of community involvement.


Tournament winners

First place Gross: Kyle Richardson, Chris Shelton, Josh Shelton and Steve Shelton, with a score of 57.

Second Place Gross: Darrin Hill, Bill Anna, Shawn Ellis and Josh Charter, with a score of 59.

First Place Net: Peter Collier, Paul Tracy, Connor Maguire and Pat Maguire, with a score of 45.

Second Place Net: Carter Pearl, Jay Pearl, Mike Teull and Card Harper, with a score of 51.

First Place Mixed: Jeff Chamberlain, Angie Chamberlain, Cathy Lutz and Jon Nicholson, with a score of 49.9.
