Lottery to honor the late player and raise funds for Elliot Lake Red Wings

The Elliot Lake Red Wings plan to drop up to 3,000 golf balls off the cliff at the Elliot Lake Stoney Ridge Golf Course. The event is also held in honor of the late Connor Peltier-Commanda of the Serpent River First Nation who played with the smaller Elliot Lake Wildcats hockey program. The Elliot Lake Red Wings plan to drop up to 3,000 golf balls off the cliff at the Elliot Lake Stoney Ridge Golf Course.
The event is also held in honor of the late Connor Peltier-Commanda of the Serpent River First Nation who played with the smaller Elliot Lake Wildcats hockey program.
The 17-year-old died on July 30, 2016 in an accident involving three vehicles on Spanish Highway 17.
Each ball is numbered and the closer the pin, the bigger the win, with the grand prize being $ 5,000.
The ball drop will take place after the hockey team’s golf tournament on Saturday, August 28th.
The money from the ball drop will be split between the Connor Pelletier-Commanda Memorial Fund and the Red Wings.
Tickets are $ 10 each.
