Roberta L. Miller (née Jacops) Roberta L. Miller (née Jacops), 88, daughter of Edward Valiant Jacops and Florence Marie (née Porter) Jacops Seaver; Roberta’s mother often told how Roberta danced on table tops as a baby and left us with a boisterous polka as well. That would be expected from generations of stage and song entertainers on the father’s side. Roberta loved growing up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with her two brothers Robert and Ronald (Butchie), where she lived in seven different houses, and she could still recite all of the addresses. Always athletic, Roberta fondly remembered her brothers jumping out the window on the second floor! She was a member of the National Honor Society and a top student in her 1950 senior year at Cuyahoga Falls. She fondly remembered her days in the accounting department at Lawson Milk Co. and in the executive offices of Rubber Latex Co. before marrying husband Charles D. Miller in June 1955. She loved telling friends about Charles seeing her go to a drug store, followed her home, then suggested a diamond ring within two weeks. Roberta and Charles started a happy family with four children and several businesses in Kent and Stow. Known as the apple lady of Stow, Roberta used her accounting, business, and legal skills to help Charles, a designer and contractor, found Jacops & Miller Construction Co., Inc.; Mini meadow golf and custard; River Hill Farm and Cider and manage rental properties, among other things. Roberta had many super powers and often greeted family and friends with her open hospitality and parties. Her greatest joys were taking her five grandchildren on golf cart spray rides to find lost golf balls, dancing in the living room, jumping on the trampoline, and having campfire picnics. She stayed active, listening to music, dancing, skating, gardening, traveling, and reading business articles, the law, and her Bible. Roberta was known for her generosity in spirit and gave to those in need either spiritually, physically, or materially. She was happy to help many people, both family and friends, of advanced age or in need. Always on the move, nothing stopped Roberta until she lost her beloved husband Charles in September 2019 and her brother Robert in April 2019. Roberta trusts Revelation 21: 4. She leaves four children, five grandchildren and many dear families and friends who miss her and who will always be fondly remembered. Children: Kristy L. Miller, Alexandria, Virginia; Kirk (Catherine) Miller, Rootstown, Ohio; Kelley (Jim) Crookston, Hudson, Ohio; Kara (Stuart) Banner, Stow, Ohio. Grandchildren: Kendall and Kori Crookston and Aidan, Kyle and Leah Banner. The family would like to thank all their dear friends and carers who visited and supported them during this difficult time. Friends are invited to visit the Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow. Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Private funeral services chaired by dear friend Michael DiMaio will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. (REDMON, STOW, 330-688-6631)
