BASKETBALL
Official basketball class for boys: IAABO Board # 114, the boys basketball officials for Ulster, Dutchess, Columbia, and Greene, will be holding classes for new officials in the Poughkeepsie Galleria common room on April 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st, 26th and 28. The final exam is on November 1st. You must be resident in one of the named districts. The course fee is $ 65 and the test is $ 105. BOWLING
Tournament Club: The first event of the season at the Bowlers Club in Saugerties will take place on September 26th at 1:00 p.m. Check-in is at 12:30 pm. All bowlers use last year’s average. Participants will earn points for each of these handicap tournaments they participate in. Each event takes place on the last Sunday of each month before the championship finals on April 24th. GOLF
31st annual DT Open autumn classic: September 26th at Blackhead Mountain Lodge and Country Club in Round Top. 1 p.m. shotgun launch. Benefit for the Greene County Women’s League for Cancer Patients. The fee of USD 85 includes cart and green fees, prices closest to the pin, long drive, team prices, lunch, snacks and drinks. Optional skins game. 21st Annual Hurley Lions Club Tournament: October 4th in Wiltwyck. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Shotgun start at 10. Captain & Crew format. $ 130 per player, which also includes continental breakfast, lunch, and a Capital Tavern-provided award dinner. Each player receives a cover with golf balls from LoDolce MFG. Begnal Motors sponsors a hole-in-one competition with a new jeep as a prize. There will also be competitions including longest drive and closest to the pin.
