KIAWAH ISLAND, SC – The Kennesaw State Women’s Golf Program ranks seventh at the Palmetto Intercollegiate after Monday action at Turtle Point Golf Club.

KSU scored a 2 over par 290 in the first round and had the same result before play was interrupted.

“We played up to our points average but we definitely know that this team can come up with a low number on this pitch,” said head coach Erin Thorne. “I think we can climb the leaderboard quickly on the last lap.”

Tori Owens led the team after day one, carding a 5 under par with three holes remaining on round two. She will resume play in 5th place in the tournament.

Alizee Vidal finished the first round with a 4 under par 68 and finished the day tied in 13th place at 1 under par. Cameron Neilson was tied in 16th place after carding a 1 over par 73 on the first round and straight par through 15 holes on the second round.

“I’m delighted that both Alizee and Tori have breakthrough laps,” said Thorne. “You can see how they run the game plan and be patient between clubs to accept longer birdie attempts.”

My Schmitt shot a 4-over par 76 during round one Lara jecnik carded a 5 over par 77. Both ended the first day with 10 over par.

Caitlyn Campbell-NymanPlaying as a single player, finished the first round with a 2 over par 74 and has a tournament score of 6 over par with six additional holes to be played in the second round.
