Ghana: Golf – Ofosuhene, Amponsah-Mensah Show Class

Eric Ofosu-hene won the MTN 25th Anniversary Invitational Golf Tournament, which was held on Saturday at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Club in Accra.

The second winner, who scored 38 points, won the highly competitive men’s Group A event to win the ultimate trophy and souvenirs.

He was followed by Peter Ntiamoah with 35 points for second place, while Nana Krakue decided with 35 points for third place.

In the women’s category, the evergreen Leticia Amponsah-Mensah again showed her class and won with 36 points in front of Mariene Tonyigah and Elizabeth Essel-Koomson in second and third place with 36 and 35 points.

The men’s group B was won by Victor Sarpong with a score of 42, while Justice Martey and Michael Agbodzah followed in second and third with 36 and 35 points.

Other awards, including the Nearest-to-the-Pin, Men, was presented by Dr. Ernest Asimenu won, while the Ladies Nearest to the Pin award went to Helen Appah.

The Longest Drive Men was won by Augustine Manasseh, the Longest Drive Ladies Prize went to Mercy Werner.

MTN board member Felix Addo reached out to the players after the event, saying they were excited to host the event in Bok Nam Kim for the first time and praised the golfers for their appearance.

The partnership between Bok Nam Kim and MTN, he said, should continue as more such competitions would be organized at the club.

“The MTN Invitational Golf Tournament has proven to be a worthy opportunity to network and generate leads for business expansion. It continues to grow and we continue to see active participation, ”he said.

A total of 88 golfers from clubs across the country took part.
