Jack Burke, 98, will remain Chairman of the Champions Golf Club and grandson Dean Burke will assume the role of Club President.

With effect from October 1st, ownership of the Champions Golf Club will pass from Jackie Burke Jr. to his son Mike Burke and grandson Dean Burke. Jackie Burke Jr., 98, remains chairman of the board and Dean Burke takes over as president of the club.
Jackie Burke Jr., who co-founded Champions Golf Club with Jimmy Demaret in 1957, sent a sincere email to club members and friends of Champions Golf Club.
“The best parts of Champions – (his) culture, integrity and reputation as one of the best clubs in the world – will remain intact,” said Burke. “(Ms.) Robin (Burke) and I made this transition with great thought and careful vision for the future.
“We are particularly pleased that ownership of Champions remains with the Burke family. Personally, I thank the Champions Membership from the bottom of my heart for their loyalty, support and contribution to the Burke family. “
Russell Roten has assumed the position of general manager of the club. Chris Ortmeier remains the course instructor.
