Kush Shah and Chand Shah from Sigona Golf Club will lead the Kenyan team to the grand finals of the World International Pairs in Portugal in October.
The two scored a brilliant 49 points at the national finals of the International Pairs at the Karen Country Club to take first place.
They beat Kerichos Erick Mutai and Julius Rono and another Sigona pair made up of Jay Varia and Grutej Phull by two points as the two pairs scored 47 points each to book the remaining two spots in the trip to Portugal for the world finals on Jan. . to October 30th on the golf course Pinheiros Altos / Dona Filipa Hotel in the Algarve.
A total of 65 couples from 13 clubs, namely Royal, Sigona, Muthaiga, Nyanza, Limuru, Railway, Nyeri, Vet Lab, Karen and Thika Sports Club, qualified for the national final.
During the award ceremony, Peter Kiguru, chairman of the Kenya Golf Union (KGU) thanked all sponsors who came on board to support this year’s series and urged companies to support the sport of golf.
