News, local news,

With Orange reopened to tourists from the greater Sydney area, Local MP Phil Donato hopes a $ 15,000 grant to Duntryleague Golf Club will show the popular course at its best. The grant, made through the local sports grant program, will be used to improve the club’s golf cart avenues, Donato said. “They have obviously been very happy and improving the facilities and amenities on the golf course will make a huge difference,” he added. “It’s a beautiful golf course and it’s iconic in orange. They run a series of major tournaments throughout the year that bring significant tourism to the area.” Duntryleague was one of several sports clubs in the city that received part of the NSW government’s local sports grant program, which aims to increase “regular and ongoing opportunities for participation across the state.” According to Donato, Orange was allotted a total of $ 50,000 as part of the program – as were the other 92 NSW voters. The golf club was awarded the requested maximum amount of $ 15,000 for a sports facility. Our journalists work hard to provide the community with local, breaking news.
