Nature lovers can return after weeks of building demolition work on the trails at Bobby Jones Golf Club.
Golf cart trails on the now closed 36-hole course opened to the public in the spring of 2020 but were closed in May while workers dismantled existing structures on the golf course to make way for improvements to the Bobby Jones Golf Club master plan create. The projects in the master plan include a restored 18-hole Donald Ross course, a 9-hole executive course, a new clubhouse, a new nature park with hiking and biking trails and a regional playground.
The trails are open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and use is free of charge.
All paths and designated toilets on the US and UK courses will be available. There are no water stations.
Cycling, walking and running are allowed, as is photography. No organized sports, picnics, fishing, golf, or motorized vehicles are allowed.
