SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The game of golf is growing as more and more juniors and women play.
There are currently 3 million junior golfers playing the clubs, with nearly 40% of those players being girls.
Bryan Geiberger works with aspiring young players aged 8 to 15 in junior camps at The Crossings golf course in Carlsbad. It’s outside and socially distant – which makes it one of the safest things kids do according to CDC guidelines.
Children share time on the range by hitting balls, chipping, putt, getting on the court and playing games of healthy competition.
Bryan was born into the game of golf as the son of PGA Champion Al Geiberger. He is known as “Mr. 59 ”for being the first player on tour to card a 59. For Bryan, the game he grew up playing has evolved into more than just his father’s game.
