The Club is hiring in multiple positions amid a $ 50 million renovation
RENO, Nevada – As the club at ArrowCreek continues to undergo a $ 50 million renovation project, new senior management is added to the team. In addition to new General Manager Jim Cleary and Head Chef Leon Teow, The Club recently hired several new team members.
Breanna Gard joined The Club at ArrowCreek as the HR manager of the private golf and country club
Breanna Gard has joined the club at ArrowCreek as the Human Resources Manager for the private golf and country club, where she will use her skills in employee relations, training and development, employee engagement and recruitment. Most recently she was HR Employee Relations Manager for Caesars Entertainment and worked with 4,000 team members in three companies. Gard received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently doing her master’s in industrial and organizational psychology.
Sean Duckering is the assistant golf professional. A native of Clovis, California, has participated in hundreds of junior golf and high school golf events and, along with PGA TOUR pros Nick Watney and Bryson DeChambeau, earned the TRAC high school scoring record of 65th duckering his associate degree in applied business administration with an emphasis on golf complex operations and management from the Golf Academy of America in San Diego. He brings five years of teaching, racket fitting, and racket repair experience and is currently an apprentice in the PGA program.
Whitney Yates is originally from North Carolina and works as a restaurant manager at ArrowCreek. With over 19 years of industry experience, Yates is committed to providing excellent service with a focus on in-house training and team building. After completing her Masters degree in Social Work from NC State University, she returned to the hospitality industry as a consultant, traveling and opening hotels and restaurants in the United States. Most recently she was General Manager at Sandy’s Pub and the Oasis Bar and Grille at the resort on Squaw Creek.
Luis Blanco will act as the club’s purchasing manager. Born in Florida, he began his hospitality career at Loews Portofino Bay, where he worked as an executive steward, among other things. While there, he oversaw the purchasing and inventory of china, glass, and silver, and made sure the company’s $ 17 million banquet season ran smoothly. Blanco has a degree in hospitality management.
