The 81-year-old from Dayton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 after a long illness. Bob was a 1959 graduate
Roosevelt High School, Dayton, oh. Bob was a United States Air Force veteran. He
Retired from Chrysler Corporation after 30 years of service.
Bob has been a mentor and teacher to many young people in Dayton and beyond. Here are some of his accomplishments: Former coach and president of the First Dayton Little League (FDLL); Former Roth Pee Wee Falcons football coach; Former President and, along with Mary Jo Wiley, one of the founding members of the Dayton Youth Golf Academy, later known as the Greater Dayton Youth Golf Academy (GDYGA); 28. President of Dayton Fairway Golf Club, an organization founded over 75 years ago to meet the needs of minority golfers at Madden Golf Course.
Bob remained a complicated part of Madden Golf Course until his health deteriorated. He was an avid golfer who traveled, played, and was known at golf courses across the country. One of the rewards of his life was seeing former (GDYGA).
Golfers achieve great success. Many received
Scholarships and used their skills to pay for their education. Some of his (FDLL) players brought their children to learn golf and shared stories about how he touched their lives. In 2009 the Beta Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. honored Mr. Wiley with the “Celebrating African.”

He is much regretted. He expressed his love and concern for his family until the last few weeks before his death. We are grateful that we were able to spend time with him over the past few weeks and on the day he died.

The memorial service will take place on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45416, under the direction of Rev. Dr. Terry Hill instead.
