David O’Donoghue has been named Executive Vice President, Hospitality at Cabot in Inverness, Nova Scotia

Cabot, developer and operator of luxury residential, resort and golf destinations, today announced that respected industry expert David O’Donoghue has been named Executive Vice President Hospitality.

In this role, O’Donoghue will work closely with Cabot CEO and Co-Founder Ben Cowan-Dewar to lead the growth of Cabot’s growing portfolio of hospitality and club operations from world-class golf resorts. He will advise and lead general managers at the hotel level and support them in delivering first class service and a great guest experience; Lead the development of key operational and performance metrics; and oversee opening plans for Cabot Saint Lucia and other properties when they go live.

The brand includes the award-winning Cabot Cape Breton resort in Nova Scotia, widely known as one of the best golf resorts in the world, the 375-acre resort community Cabot Saint Lucia under development on the northern tip of Saint Lucia, and the newly launched Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia.

A strong and passionate executive with over 22 years of experience and a proven track record of delivering results, O’Donoghue most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Palmetto Bluff Development Company, a 20,000 acre development in Bluffton, South Carolina. Previously, O’Donoghue was Senior Vice President of Operations at DMB Associates, Inc. in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he oversaw DMB’s portfolio of luxury resorts and club communities.

O’Donoghue currently serves on the University of South Carolina’s Beaufort Board of Directors, the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy’s board of directors, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Travel Experience Council. He was born in Dublin, Ireland.
