Iowa's Grand Falls Casino Approved For A $ 8 Million Refurbishment

The initial phase of adding slot bases and an updated poker room is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving


t its monthly meeting on Thursday the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission agreed to the budget of 8 million US dollars presented in the project for renewal Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resorts in larch wood. The first of two construction phases will begin in September and should be completed by the harvest festival in November.

In this first case The casino floor gets new slot bases, carpets and chairs, and a brand new poker room. The VIP offices and toilets will also be updated.

The second phase of the project, which is planned for the first quarter of 2022, will include the restaurants and the front rooms of the house.

Even though the entire casino is under construction, officials have given assurances It won’t get in the way of playing, eating, or enjoying the resort activities.

According to the Sioux City Journal, Sharon Haselhoff, General Manager of the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort spoke about the casino’s new venture, assuring that “the project is in line with our business philosophy of reinvesting in our properties and providing world-class facilities, luxury amenities, exceptional food and great guest service.”

This is the second major build for rural Lyon County Casino in less than two years. In 2019 the casino is invested in a new sports betting company, additional hotel rooms and an expansion of the recreational vehicle park for a total of 10 million US dollars.
