The Open Championship 2021 – or British Open – will take place at Royal St. George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, Kent, England, the 149th edition of the tournament. (St Andrews Links, the home of golf, will host next year.)

Louis Oosthuizen, second in the last two majors, has led wire to wire. The 38-year-old South African – winner of the 2010 Open in St Andrews – is 12 under par 198, one shot better than Collin Morikawa, the 2020 PGA champion. Jordan Spieth, the last American to win the 2017 Open, is with me 9 under three strokes behind.
World number two and US Open winner Jon Rahm is 7 under in sixth place; Shane Lowry, the defending champion of the Open, is 12th with 5 Under.
