After a multi-million dollar renovation, The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa has officially changed its name to The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa. When the resort was originally built in 1987, Palm Springs was the tourist powerhouse of the Coachella Valley, which is why the hotel wasn’t originally named for its location in Rancho Mirage. Since the resort’s inception, Rancho Mirage has grown into a destination in its own right. As the hotel prepares to complete its $15 million property-wide renovation, it believes now is the time for a name change that reflects the destination the resort calls home, Rancho Mirage.
With this transformation, The Westin brings a whole new, serene vibe to the property that weaves wellness throughout the resort experience. The resort’s new Director of Spa & Wellness is integrating wellness through unique in-room spa offerings, healthy restaurant menu options, new treatments and the incorporation of wellness activities and classes into the resort’s programming. The Westin has always positioned itself as a leading wellness brand focused on the pillars of Sleep Well, Move Well, Eat Well, Play Well and Work Well and with this renovation they are expanding it beyond the spa.
