Expensive expenses, expensive trips, more

Exactly how much do you spend on the game we all love? The nice thing about golfing is that there is no one way. You can use new clubs or old clubs, play affordable munis, or join the most generous country club in your state. Perhaps your annual golf trip is to Ireland while your neighbor’s is only two cities away. What are we getting at? There is no way to spend your hard-earned golf money. But at GOLF.com we wanted to better understand how golfers spend their money. This is where this survey comes in.

In search of insights, we hired a company that interviewed 2,817 random golfers in October and November 2020. They were asked 23 spending-related questions on topics such as clothing, equipment, green fees, golf trips and more. Now the results are in. This is how you, your neighbor, your accountant, and more are spending their money when it comes to golf.
