It sounds like an April Fool’s joke, but we promise it isn’t.
Budget supermarket chain Lidl now has a brand new range of golf apparel and accessories designed to get more people to play the game Royal and Ancient.
The range includes golf shoes (€ 14.99) with removable insoles with an Air Stream system for improved breathability, as well as a large selection of men’s and women’s clothing from the in-house Crivit range.

Men can hit the fairways with a brand new “golf top” that will cost you just £ 7.99. It is described as “quick drying and moisture wicking” with a “sporty high collar with a zipper”.
In the meantime, women can choose between sleeveless tops (€ 4.99), skorts (€ 9.99) and more.
As if that weren’t enough, Lidl also offers its own golf tee packs from 99 euros, as well as a stylish, water-repellent stand bag (99 euros), a sliding trolley (also 99 euros) and a durable fiberglass golf umbrella (9.99 euros).
It even has its own “Premium Three-Piece Golf Balls” (£ 12.99) that are designed “for more control and reach with every shot”.
The R & A- and USGA-compliant balls have a polybutadiene core for optimal acceleration and greater range, as well as a DuPont HPF-2000 polymer jacket for a soft feel and control.

They also have a Surlyn cover that provides low friction and a highly resilient 392 dimple pattern for improved aerodynamics and a stable trajectory.
The full range is available from today – July 8, 2021 – in Lidl supermarkets across Scotland and only available while stocks last.
Big in quality, Lidl in price? There’s only one way to find out, right?
