Nike has released a sneak peek of the limited edition PGA Championship golf shoes that will be seen on Kiawah’s Ocean Course. Three of the four styles in the Nike Seersucker Pack are available for purchase this week, including the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour NRG, Nike Air Max 90 G and Air Jordan IV G golf shoes. The fourth style, the Air Zoom Victory Tour 2, will likely be seen at Nike athletes in Kiawah but will not be available for purchase. The first launch of the Air Zoom Infinity Tour and Air Max 90 G sold out within an hour of being released on Nike.com this week. If you missed the first launch, there’s a top-up at Golf Galaxy today.
The collection features a seersucker pattern that is common in classic coastal areas such as Kiawah. Seersucker is typically a lightweight woven, striped fabric that is worn in the spring and summer seasons for a sophisticated look that is comfortable to wear in the heat. Nike’s play with classic style makes for a bright and beach-like shoe package with subtle details that honor South Carolina, the home state of this year’s PGA Championship.
TIED TOGETHER: The best men’s golf shoes of 2021 and The best women’s golf shoes of 2021
The Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour was designed after the most famous version of Seersucker – a light blue and white stripe pattern over the upper and the sole of the shoe. A pale pink Nike Swoosh brightens the design and underlines the sporty styling of the sneaker-like golf shoe. As an additional nod to South Carolina and its flag, there is a palmetto tree graphic on the insoles.
The Nike Air Max 90 G is based a bit more on the pink and blue color block look and is bright, playful and ultra-stylish. Pink rubberized details skilfully balance the fabric-covered blue seersucker upper material and remain true to the recognizable Air Max design within the Kiawah-themed remix. The Air Max also comes with the Palmetto insoles.
As usual, the Air Jordan IV G has the boldest design in the group. It’s a high-top in full pink made of seersucker with iconic Jordan shoe details and golf-ready performance elements. The summery shoe is sure to make a statement and has removable spikes so you can wear it anywhere. While the Air Zoom Infinity Tour and Air Max 90G went on sale on Monday, the Air Jordan IV G golf shoes became available on Wednesday – and, as expected, sold out quickly. This style isn’t currently available in the Golf Galaxy replenishment, but keep an eye out for updates.
While you can’t buy it, you can see the Air Zoom Victory Tour Seersucker NRG in Kiawah. It’s the quietest design, with a mostly white leather upper and a simple pink swoosh. Soft blue seersucker details accentuate the heel and collar of the sophisticated shoe and a continuous seersucker patterned outsole subtly pulls the look together.
