Tentree Treeline canvas jacket

It’s fall season, which means you don’t have to decide what to spend your jacket budget on. Sustainable brand Tentree offers a whole range of options as part of their new Essential Outerwear Collection, but the piece that fascinates us most is this Treeline Canvas Jacket, which is 99% compostable. That’s because it’s made from a textile that uses fibers from the dried fruits of the kapok tree. Apparently all you have to do is remove the buttons when you’re done and this thing will go back to nature. This is certainly worth a place in your outerwear arsenal.

Bevy long drink

The long drink was commissioned by the Finnish government in 1952 before the Olympic Games in Helsinki. There it’s a gin, grapefruit and tonic. We already had a successful ready-to-drink (RTD) variant here, and now Boston Beer Co. is launching its own. Available in November in two flavors (Sparkling Citrus Refresher and Sparkling Berry Refresher). This lively variant has no real liquor, but uses citrus flavors and wild juniper berries.

The forgotten first

Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson teamed up with Bob Glauber to introduce four black players (Kenny Washington, Woody Strode, Marion Motley and Bill Willis) who broke the NFL color barrier in the 1940s, up to a year before Jackie Robinson did the same did in the MLB.

Ikepod

Ikepod Seapod diving watches

Ikepod clocks are not for everyone. But they are certainly for a certain eccentric corner of the watch world, which is why the brand founded by Marc Newson has found a second life. Today they offer some reworked versions of their classics, and now they offer a diver-style version of the UFO silhouette called the Seapod. There are three versions, one completely in black, one with orange accents and one with blue accents and a matching blue silicone strap. That’s the main differentiator as they all have 46mm cases, 200 meters of water resistance, and Miyota automatic movements.

Available in three colors – although we prefer the orange – this downright cool puffer jacket is based on a vintage mountaineering jacket from the 1960s. Now it has a Japanese nylon with diamond quilting, a down filling, gunmetal buttons and ribbed cuffs and collar.

Homesickness

Made from a soy and wax blend and with cotton wicks and notes of “smoked charcoal, a new jersey and overcrowded bleachers”, this is the official tailgating candle. Burn this guy at home on game night and collect all the emotions that come with sitting in the parking lot outside the stadium on a cool autumn day and enjoying a crispy boy.

The blazers are back, baby! Well, row blazers, to be precise. RB founder Jack Carlson’s captivating ode to everything to do with Preppy is back in print after more than a year, and believe us, it was worth the wait. The hardcover photo book is full of ivy-centered imagery, exquisite detail, and of course, the instantly distinguishable rowing blazer ethos. Rowing blazers certainly deserve a spot in the living room of your sprawling New England estate, or at least on your coffee table.
