PUMA Ignite Blaze Pro shoe review

by | Nov 10, 2021 | Golf Shoes

The Blaze Pro is part of PUMA’s popular Ignite range and, as the company says, these golf shoes are designed to provide serious performance for serious female players.

This is a beautiful looking modern shoe with a hybrid bootie construction. The leather upper is predominantly black with pale pink or pink accents to be precise, and these two colors complement the dark gray tongue beautifully.

The upper material and the contrasting white outsole create a sporty and stylish overall appearance. The jumping PUMA panther can be seen inconspicuously on the top of the tongue and on the outside of the shaft, while the word “PUMA” can be clearly seen on the back of the heel.

The leather upper feels quite stiff, but once on the foot this shoe is deceptively comfortable, is true to size and really holds the feet firmly. This is largely thanks to the heel lock window that comfortably encloses your heel so your foot is securely locked in the shoe.

Ignite refers to Puma’s PU foam in the outsole, which is engineered along with the supportive Pro-Fit sockliner for cushioning and ultimate comfort. We didn’t find these golf shoes the softest underfoot, but considering they were worn straight out of the box, it can be said that they are reasonably comfortable as our feet still felt fresh after 18 holes with no signs of any sign from friction.

This was also convincing in terms of grip and traction and clearly this is a shoe that can be worn all year round. On the day of the test, the ground underfoot was damp, but the dual talon low-profile studs and a sizeable number of studs held up well, giving us noticeable stability with every hit. These shoes also have a one-year water resistance guarantee.
