In this Puma Ignite Proadapt Delta golf shoe review, we put this shoe through its paces with spikes to test the general grip and comfort it offers on the course.
Puma Ignite Proadapt Delta Golf Shoe Review
If you are looking for a pair of spiked shoes to wear through tough winter golf, the Puma Proadapt Delta should definitely be on your shortlist.
These golf shoes are comfortably one of the best Puma golf shoes, especially if you prefer a sportier shoe.
One of Puma’s biggest tour stars – Rickie Fowler – debuted this year with this flat and athletically styled shoe that complements the brand’s extensive range in 2021.
These spiked shoes are all about golf swing stability.
The shoe has a super supportive insole and we could feel how calm and stable our feet and ankles were during the golf swing.

The fit is tight but not uncomfortable and makes for an effortlessly well-fitting shoe.
This technology in the insole means these shoes are incredibly comfortable right out of the box and we had to break in very quickly.
The upper made of full-grain leather is soft and breathable, so this shoe is just as comfortable in midsummer as it is in deepest winter.
In contrast to the Puma Proadapt Alphacat shoes without spikes, which we tested at the beginning of the year, the Ignite Proadapt Delta is true to size and our normal size 8 fit here perfectly, with the out-of-the-box comfort the best that we tested in a Puma shoe year ago.
The grip of these shoes creates safety on the course and some extremely wet conditions were not up to the Delta shoes – for us one of the best waterproof golf shoes we tested this year.
This contributed in part to the protection of the shoes that the shoes provided to our feet during torrential rain on our first day of testing.
If these shoes get wet, note the soft gray material that lines the tongue and ankle area of the shoe.
When this one gets wet, it doesn’t dry nearly as quickly as the rest of the shoe, which is worth mentioning.
Another problem – albeit minor and easy to avoid – was that we tested the all-white color scheme on a fairly muddy day. As a result, the bright white shoes got a bit embarrassed after the round, especially on our left foot.
They’re easy to wipe off, however, and there’s an all-black colorway for those who want to wear them all winter.
An impressive 2-year guarantee on water resistance gives additional security and speaks for the overall quality of this shoe.
verdict
An effortlessly comfortable golf shoe that is great for wet conditions or golf courses where you need a lot of traction. Probably the best spike shoe from Puma. We recommend the black colorway if you play a lot in winter.
