Skechers was the official shoe supplier for both European and American teams with Skechers GO GOLF® shoe designs in team colors
LOS ANGELES, September 09, 2021 – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Both results would have been a win for Skechers as Comfort Technology Company ™ was named the official shoe supplier for the European and US Solheim Cup teams earlier this year – But the goal was especially exciting when Danish pro golfer and Skechers athlete Emily Pedersen pocketed a birdie on the 18th hole wearing Skechers GO GOLF Elite 3 ™ shoes. Throughout the day, she helped maintain the women’s European leadership and confirm overall victory at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio – the second Solheim Cup win in a row for Team Europe.

“While we pulled for Team USA to take home victory, we’re excited to see Skechers equipping European women to win for the second time through our expanded partnership with the Solheim Cup,” said David Weinberg, Skechers Chief Operating Officer . “Congratulations to Team Europe and it is clear that this event is a perfect showcase for our Skechers GO GOLF collection, where professionals like Emily Pedersen show how the comfort and performance of our shoes can improve their game. We know fans of both teams want to experience the innovative styles only Skechers has to offer the next time you’re on the court. “
“I was happy to anchor in the game against the same player I played in 2017 – but this time with a different outcome,” said Emily Pedersen. “I had to collect myself a bit on the last three holes and the Skechers GO GOLF shoes make it easy to get comfortable and focus on the game. In the end, it felt so nice to pocket that final putt and celebrate with the team. I am so proud of all of them. “
The story goes on
In addition to pairs of shoes for the golfers, support staff and officials received Skechers GO RUN Supersonic ™ shoes in team colors with caddies in a special waterproof design. This is the first time Skechers has supplied shoes to both teams, having previously sponsored the European team in 2017 and 2019. Skechers GO GOLF is known for its light, high-quality, stable and comfortable design and has made a name for itself in the golf category in addition to the brand’s award-winning running, walking and training collections.
The list of elite golfers wearing Skechers GO GOLF on tour includes Brooke Henderson, Colin Montgomerie and Billy Andrade. Skechers GO GOLF is available in selected Skechers retail stores and on skechers.com as well as from selected retail partners, including dedicated golf pro shops.
