Malbon Golf has a cleat with New Balance coming soon, and the pre-release version is exclusive to StockX through its direct consumer product release method, DropX.

Starting today at 12 noon ET on StockX.com, golf fans can take their shot at the “Market of Things” to pick up the Malbon Golf x New Balance 997G. The shoe is limited to 250 pairs and costs $ 160.

The Malbon Golf x New Balance 997G is predominantly white with accents of green, which StockX says is inspired by caddy uniforms at The Masters. The cleat is completed with a classic rubber outsole, which serves as a nod to the OG sneaker culture, and traction spikes for the green.

A StockX towel, which is included with every purchase, is also exclusive to the DropX pre-release version.

If you miss the DropX launch, a wider release of the Malbon Golf x New Balance 997G is slated for August 26th.

The timing of this publication couldn’t be more appropriate. According to StockX, the platform has seen strong interest in golf lately, with golf shoe sales increasing 270% year-over-year in the 12 months ending July, and searching for the term “golf” approximately 12,000 times.

In addition, StockX announced earlier this month that it has entered into a multi-faceted partnership with Malbon Golf that will generate exclusive releases, product placements in the marketplace and content initiatives.

StockX introduced DropX in August 2020 with an exclusive Funko Pop! Rocks release together with the Colombian musician J Balvin. Most recently, StockX used its direct-to-consumer product release method to launch the Revlon x Megan Thee Stallion Hot Girl Sunset Collection makeup set in July.
