TRUE Linkswear Tru Knit II golf shoes review
You can’t put it nicely: True used to make golf shoes that honestly looked like clown shoes. But a lot has changed for this small company – and in a really good way.
After doing a homerun a few years ago in the original True Knit shoes – which turned out to be the brand’s most popular model of all time – officials followed up with this even better sequel.
The light texture of Knit II, the all-day comfort, the sock-fitting feel and the breathable texture make it an easy choice for warm days on the fairways or for hanging out with your friends while grilling. But make no mistake: these are definitely made for golfing primarily.

The one-piece upper is fully breathable and consists of a 90/10 split of polyester and elastane that adapts to most foot widths. It has a rich texture and is available in white, blue-gray and a “Maui black” that is actually rather deep green.
In the latter color, several people asked us about the shoe. Yeah, that looks so good. The upper material also repels water and oil. Inside the shoe there is a midsole made of super foam “Wanderlux”, which gives your feet flexibility, comfort and rebound energy.
There is a flexible opening with a full sock fit so you can easily slide your feet in without damaging the heel. As the company promises, you can lace these up for your round and not want to take off the rest of the day.
The shoe weighs only 9.1 ounces – it will be very difficult for you to find something lighter in your pro shop. In addition, the stud-free outsole has a cross-life profile for good traction. You will definitely prefer to use these on dry days. The materials used are also durable, so you can expect a long service life.
We’re always cautious about ultra-light shoes fading in comfort on the second nine. But our feet felt beautiful and energetic after 18 in it. You can wear them for a lot more than just golf.
