Arguably the best golf course on campus in the country, Ferrara & Page Golf Training & Learning Center provides Kent State men’s and women’s golfers with a state-of-the-art training ground for their pursuit of golf excellence.
The outdoor area of the facility includes a 350-yard practice area with parallel practice tees, four curved grass target greens with bunkers on the edge of the green and depressions that are positioned to simulate different distances, a 10,000 square meter putting green, a practice area for short games , including a practice fairway and both natural and artificial turf tees.
Inside – and protected from the elements – heated pits enable golfers to hit all of the target greens in the open air. In addition, a 3,000 square meter practice green and chipping area as well as a video room and a net area for swing analysis allow players to work on their game year-round. Within the building there are also team locker rooms, a practice area, meeting rooms, an academic area with study booths, computers, printers and offices for the coaching team.
The entrance and lobby of the building lead to the All-America, Academic All-America and Wall of Champions galleries, which present and honor former Kent State Champion golfers, while also providing a graphic representation of tradition and high standards of excellence present KSU program. In addition, banners with the 23 men’s and 18 women’s Mid-American Conference Championships hang in the rafters of the indoor putting area.
