Forest Hill Golf and Country Club Resort President Birinder Singh Gill will start the program with the start of the first junior golf championship
To promote golf among young people in the Tricity, the Forest Hill Junior Golf Training Program for children will be held on August 29 at the Forest Hill Golf and Country Club Resort. The club’s president, Birinder Singh Gill, will start this program with the start of the first junior golf championship.
This tournament is held in seven different categories for children aged five to 17 years. A beginner category is also being introduced for children who are new to the sport and they are briefly trained in putting and competitions among themselves.
As part of the program, Gill said it will be broken into phases. “Regular coaching camps for children will be organized from September onwards. This is done with the help of the most experienced trainers who teach the right swing fundamentals so that every child can keep improving. Providing children with a quality golf course to play and practice on is on the agenda, ”he said.
He added that a number of junior golf tournaments are held every year to teach children all the rules and etiquette to prepare them for national and international events.
Organize women’s program
In order to give women’s golf a boost, the club decided to organize the “Ladies Learn to Golf” program. The program includes training on the practice area, playing on the golf course, competitions and prizes.
