IT is “green” after the opening of its new golf facility at Inverclyde Sports Center.

The newly renovated golf training center will offer people opportunities to practice and also open up the sport to people with disabilities.

The new training center offers golfers a range of practice opportunities for the short game.

Inverclyde has a proud golf tradition and legendary golf coach Bob Torrance has trained some of his protégés on the center’s old driving range, including Padraig Harrington.

Limited golf practice area has been offered for many years; However, the new facility offers a completely new development and a major upgrade.

To ensure safety, a new fence was built around the perimeter, with access through a secure gate.

The center operates with pre-booked access time slots that members can book online or by phone.

It includes five complete target greens with three tee positions, six covered bays with synthetic tees, a designated performance putting green according to USGA standards, which allows bunker play, rough and approach shots.

There is a paragolf chair on the premises and there will be a professional coaching bay
