2021 Marathon LPGA Classic preview: What you need to know

The best golfers and fans of the LPGA return to Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania.

SYLVANIA, Ohio – The world’s best women golfers return for the LPGA Classic 2021 Marathon at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania from July 5th to 11th.

The annual tournament will look a lot more normal after the event was held without fans last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear a mask inside or out during the tournament.

Those who are not fully vaccinated should wear a mask indoors and outdoors, as per CDC guidelines, unless they are socially distant from others. The full COVID-19 logs can be found here.

Access to the site is not permitted on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament begins with the first round on Thursday and ends on Sunday with the final round.

TICKETS & PARKING

Weekly parking tickets are $ 60 and allow access Thursday through Sunday. Concession stands will be set up throughout the course.

Weekly clubhouse yard tickets are $ 120 and allow access to a large outdoor pavilion in addition to the grounds for all four rounds. Improved food and drink and toilet options are available.

Single round tickets are available at the cash desk. Tickets for Thursday and Friday are $ 15, and tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $ 20.

Retired and active military personnel, fire brigade, police, emergency services, frontline medical personnel and first aiders have free entry and are allowed to receive a guest. Children up to 17 years and also free.

A weekly parking pass is $ 20 and the daily rate is $ 10. Parking is available in Lot B on Centennial Road and Brint Road.

WHO PLAYS?

The Marathon Classic has signed eight of the top 20 golfers in the World Golf Rankings, including defending champion Danielle Kang, who is fifth in the world rankings. Also there are the 2019 champion Sei Young Kim (No. 2) and Brooke Henderson (No. 4).

The two-time major champion and Toledo-born Stacy Lewis will also be on the field.
