The dates for the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout 2021 have been set.
After a break in 2020 to build a beautiful clubhouse on the square, the El Dorado Shootout is back.
Since hosting the first El Dorado Shootout tournament in 2015, the event has become a favorite with both female athletes on the Symetra Tour and residents of the South Arkansas community.
The Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout 2021, presented by PepsiCo, will take place September 18-26 at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado.
There are plenty of activities for all ages during the week leading up to the tournament, including the popular Junior Clinic (children ages six to 18) and a Pro-Am scramble that brings Symetra Tour professionals together with various local and national operators.
This will be the sixth year Murphy USA and the El Dorado community have hosted this 54-hole stroke play format, which welcomes a field of aspiring professional golfers from around the world.
Entrants will compete for a total of $ 175,000, an increase of $ 25,000 from 2019.
The 2021 tournament winner will receive $ 26,250, making a significant step towards receiving her LPGA Tour Card for the 2022 season.
The top 10 players on the Symetra year-end Race for the Card money list will receive their full-time LPGA Tour tickets for the following season.
Symetra Tour players have won a total of 450 LPGA Tour events.
Since 2013, eleven players have won the Symetra Tour / Road to the LPGA Majors, including the youngest winners Sophia Popov (2020 AIG Women’s Open) and Patty Tavatanakit (2021 ANA Inspiration).
Each year a local non-profit organization is selected to benefit from the annual tournament.
This year the tournament has the honor of giving back to both a local and a national charity.
The two charities selected are #TeamCorrie Cancer Foundation and Susan G. Komen.
