The state-of-the-art venue combines the fun and camaraderie of a simulated, state-of-the-art golf and entertainment experience – hosted in luxurious contemporary living room suites – with a world-class dining experience from internationally recognized celebrity chef David Burke.

The interior was designed by the world famous Michael Graves Architectural Design, Princeton. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the 1776 on the Green office building in the popular, walkable, historic downtown area of Morristown.

The project was conceived by founder David Vorcheimer, who was supported by his managing partners of the Green Group Morristown, Chance Healy and George Schneider. All three are local residents, as is the entire investment team. World-renowned celebrity chef David Burke has teamed up with Green Group Morristown to bring its world-class cuisine to 1776.

The TopGolf Swing Suite adjoining the 1776 by David Burke restaurant has six modern living room suites. Each stylishly furnished suite has a sectional sofa and high seating that comfortably seats eight people. The suites can be used for a variety of activities such as simulated golfing, watch parties and business presentations.

The suites can be booked individually or the entire area of the Topgolf Swing Suite can be bought out. Both the restaurant and the Topgolf Swing Suite area have their own food and cocktail menus created by “Top Chef” head chef Burke, who was a finalist in the popular Bravo TVs cooking competition.

The main dining room menu is currently in the final stages of development. Chef Burke does, however, promise some of his famous specialties like the “Clothesline Bacon” appetizer – strips of crispy, maple-glazed bacon hanging on a mini clothesline; its decadent lobster dumplings; and its patented Pink Himalayan Salt-Aged Steaks. There will also be music, either as a DJ or live. Sufficient parking spaces are available with valet parking, two parking garages just a few steps away, parking meters on the street and a nearby free municipal car park.

Chef Burke predicts the 1776’s innovative venue will make it a landmark in Morristown’s bustling dining scene with its accessible, modern, world-class American menu. He said the atmosphere will be upbeat, exciting, full of energy and fun, but also a classic dining experience with craft cocktails and an international wine list with a wide selection, all in a dramatic and beautiful setting. “1776 will be a great place to practice golf shots, hold corporate events, celebrate birthdays, or just relax with friends and family over a great meal,” said Burke.
