Partnership to promote environmental stewardship and inclusion through golf
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 12, 2021 – Dow (NYSE: DOW), the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the Ladies European Tour (LET) announced today that Dow will serve as the official sustainability resource for the organizations.
The move symbolizes Dow’s commitment to helping sectors further develop, mobilize and accelerate effective action and achieve far-reaching results on a number of priority topics related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The partnership is a four-year commitment to working together towards these goals – creating a strategic blueprint for sustainable action across professional golf, expanding existing initiatives in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion and strengthening approaches to climate action, biodiversity promotion and reductions Resource consumption and waste.
Together, the Dow, LPGA and LET aim to have a direct positive impact; create tangible and lasting legacies; Sharing knowledge; and celebrate credible and inspiring leadership examples.

As an official sustainability resource, Dow works closely with the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf (GEO) – a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring, supporting and recognizing sustainability in and through golf around the world. Dow and GEO will provide expertise to assist in the development of an LPGA and LET strategy, as well as support and solutions to ensure an effective and impactful deployment. GEO brings a wealth of experience to the table and has worked with golf associations, associations, athletes and the media for the past 15 years. Additionally, GEO is very active in the mainstream sustainability movement and has consulted with government agencies, NGOs, and business and supply chain platforms to bring the latest insights and insights into sustainability solutions for golf associations, tournaments, venues and athletes.
The expanded collaboration is a further development of the success of the first Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational (Dow GLBI) in 2019, which was the first LPGA tournament to be awarded GEO Certified®.
Dow’s first year as an Official Sustainability Resource will be dedicated to building a foundation for long-term success and exploring immediate opportunities for new action in the areas of inclusion, diversity and environmental responsibility. The program will be expanded to include the development of sustainability initiatives and events that focus on training and empowering young women golfers.

The LET and Dow also work together on Celebrating the Green, an initiative led by the LET to celebrate and inspire change in conservation, climate and community in women’s golf.
Dow has been working with the LPGA as the association’s official marketing partner since 2018.
