The event, scheduled for October 14-17 at Qizhong Garden Golf Club, did not take place last year due to health concerns and travel restrictions amid the pandemic.

According to a Reuters tally, 94,687 infections and 4,636 coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in China since the pandemic began.

The American Danielle Kang won the opening tournament in Shanghai in 2018 and successfully defended her title the following year with a one-stroke win against her compatriot Jessica Korda.

The two remaining events of the LPGA’s Asia swing with four stations are planned from October 21st to 24th in Busan, South Korea and from November 4th to 7th in Otsu, Japan.
