This week’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in Memphis has reached halfway and the action is starting to heat up. Harris English is at the top of the field by a two-stroke lead at 13 under, but it’s a crowded leaderboard as Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas and a number of big names in golf continue on the hunt for Moving Day .
We’ve seen TPC Southwind give us some really low numbers this week, so it looks like this weekend is going to be good. Solo front runner Harris English set the bar earlier this week with an 8-under 62 in Round 1. Two golfers on Friday – Cameron Smith and Abraham Ancer – hit that number on Round 2. So if we’ve learned one thing, it is that a big round is within reach and no one is safe at the top of the leaderboard.
Smith and Ancer are hot on the heels, just two behind English, and are below second place on the leaderboard with 11. Ian Poulter, Sam Burns and Scottie Scheffler are back three while Louis Oosthuizen and Bryson DeChambeau are four strokes behind the lead.
