Twin Warriors and Santa Ana Golf Clubs will host the Senior PGA Professional Championship October 13-16, 2022, the PGA of America announced on Wednesday.
It’s the second professional PGA event to be held in Santa Ana Pueblo next year, as the 2022 Women’s PGA Cup will be held at Twin Warriors from October 24th to 29th, the PGA of America announced last month.
“These two scenic and challenging Santa Ana Pueblo courses at Santa Ana Golf Club and Twin Warriors Golf Club will provide great arenas for talented senior PGA professionals from our 41 sections,” said Derek Gutierrez, PGA General Manager / Director of Golf at Santa Ana Golf Club, Inc. said in a press release. “It is always exciting to host competitors playing these two layouts for the first time, and we also look forward to welcoming a number of players who have returned from the PGA Professional Championships in 2003 and (2009).”
The Senior PGA Professional Championship consists of a field of 264 players of 50 and more PGA Professionals from around the country, with at least 35 players earning a place in the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship 2023, which will be played at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas.
Twin Warriors has a history of hosting the PGA of America and a variety of notable events and tournaments, including the PGA Professional Championship in 2003 and 2009.
