Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CJ Cup is taking place again on the government side. Last year Jason Kokrak took the trophy after a final round of 64, ousting Xander Schauffele with two shots in Shadow Creek. This time the best players in the world visit the Summit Club, a private golf course in Las Vegas.
Most players see the golf course for the first time, but two players, Collin Morikawa and Maverick McNealy, are members of Summit.
“There is a sense of comfort, doesn’t it? I’m comfortable with a lot of tees, I’m comfortable with the approaches, I know where the greens break, I know where to miss the shots, “said Morikawa during his press conference on Tuesday,” so hopefully we can get the shots this week.”
