Duncan amateur golfer Davison wins Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour event in PEI

From one island to another, the amateur Callum Davison from Duncan won the Brudenell River Classic golf tournament on Friday on Prince Edward Island.

Davison shot a final lap three under 69 to finish the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada event at 15 under, one better than Noah Steele of Kingston, Ontario.

Davison and Steele are both members of the Canadian amateur national team.

“It feels great,” said Davison.

“I played from the tee all week, so that was huge. And I did a few putts when I had to. “

The annual Victoria stop on the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada, the Reliance Properties DCBank Open presented by the Times Colonist, is scheduled for September 30th to October 3rd in Uplands.

A special local qualifying tournament with five seats available for the Victoria Pro tournament will be held on Sunday in Gorge Vale.
