PGA Catalunya in Girona, Spain recently opened a € 5 million wellness center ahead of the resort’s stadium course hosting the European Amateur Team Championship next month.
The new wellness center includes nine treatment rooms, a fitness room, yoga studios as well as thermal and water facilities, which are located between gardens, forest clearings and waterfalls.
The resort has also worked on its stadium course throughout the winter, including redesigning the par 4 10th hole, new go-karting tracks and improving conditions across the course.
David Plana, CEO of PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness, said: “The stadium course is in the best condition we have ever seen and it is sure to be a fun and challenging test.”
“We put a lot of money, time and effort into the Stadium Course, installing new buggy paths, rerouting the 10th hole and developing an intense manicure system – all of which took it to a new level,” said Dirk Delfortrie, Director of Golf at PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness.
